About Our Activities
Every activity is organized by the Manager of CLUB Activities and focuses on caring for the mind, body and spirit.
Our manager utilizes community connections and volunteer support to make every class, session, and activity inspire growth and learning. The Activities Manager builds relationships with CLUB members, learning right along with them to develop activities and programs that specifically meet member interests.

The Art Studio is a place to be creative. Enjoy open studio time or take a class and leave with a finished product. The best part about these classes is that skill levels are not required. Our activities volunteers and staff will modify their curriculum to meet your skills. Materials are provided. See our Activities Schedule to explore our variety of classes.

With a state-of-the-art projector and screen system you can enjoy scheduled lectures from therapists, the clinic nurse, community members, and organizations. These topics are chosen based on the interests of our members. If you’d like to present or give a suggestion let us know!

Bridge, Poker & Card Rooms
Learn to play bridge or join a game. Check our activities schedule for games led by volunteers or organize a group yourself. A poker table complete with cards and chips is ready for members to challenge each other. It is all in good fun! Other card games are welcome. Two tables will seat 8 players.
TV & Game Room
Sit in the comfy recliners to relax or watch a movie. Choose from the many DVDs available to watch. Love cribbage, chess, checkers or backgammon? Enjoy a game with a like-minded member at the unique game table where the game pieces are cats vs dogs! CLUB staff are available to help with any electronic devices. Please ask for assistance when needed or if any device is not working properly.
This large, rustic area has several choices for members to have fun. Challenge a new friend to a game of billiards or shuffle board. There are a variety of board games in the cabinet to choose from and plenty of room to play at the beautiful table. You can enjoy a game of cribbage or cards at the small square table as well.
Are you looking for a quiet place to sit and read, do crossword puzzles or sudoku? Here you can relax and put your feet up in one of the big leather chairs.
Sew Fun Craft Room
Use your imagination to create something handmade and special in the Sew Fun Craft Room. We have materials for scrapbooking, knitting, sewing, art supplies, and so much more. You may also want to join one of our guided craft classes with projects to match all skill levels. The best part is, you get to take your final product home!
Are you interested in starting a book club, bible study or other small group activity? Then this cheerful space is for you. Let one of the staff members help you get it organized.
Caring for Your Physical Health
Sign out a putter at the front desk and practice your golfing skills. Challenge a friend or get some tips on your game. The CLUB will make putting instructions available from our experienced volunteer golfers!
Join us for various activities and social gardening at the waist-high gardens out front. Learn different skills and help grow different plants and herbs throughout the year.
This room is set up to challenge your body with a recumbent bike and two recumbent ellipticals sure to get your circulation moving and your muscles working! You can watch the wall mounted TV or do your own thing with your ear buds and music player. We even have a basketball challenge machine—take your best shot!
Prior to using exercise equipment CLUB members are advised to seek the advice of their physician especially those with physical limitations, a history of high blood pressure, heart problems, or other chronic illnesses. We also request that you consult a staff member for instruction prior to using exercise equipment. Please sanitize the equipment after every use.
This calm, spacious room offers members the opportunity to learn skills for stress reduction, balance improvement and strength building. Our activities volunteers and staff will modify their curriculum to meet your skills.

Intentionally Living Your Best
The CLUB Wellness Clinic offers a variety of services to support CLUB Members in all aspects of their health: emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual and physical. Our registered nurse and other wellness professionals will work with you, your family and caregivers, your primary care provider, and other members of your wellness team to help you live your best life. Our goal is to empower you to take charge of your own wellness by giving you the time, support, and tools you need.
- One-on-one sessions to answer your questions about health and wellness
- Medication education and assistance with medication
- Assistance with communication with healthcare providers and other members of your wellness team
- Basic first aid and initial evaluation of troubling symptoms
- Help with decisions about when and how to seek additional medical treatment
- Caregiver and family support and education
- Aromatherapy for relaxation, pain relief, or sleep, including therapeutic foot soaks
- Referral to classes and other therapeutic services offered at the CLUB
Excursions to Artful Cup, Spoons & Heirlooms
Want to go out to lunch or downtown with your CLUB friends? Enjoy coffee at the Artful Cup, lunch at Spoons bistro & bakery or do a little shopping at Heirlooms for Hospice during one of our scheduled excursions.
Community Resource Center
The CLUB Community Resource Center will be available for members to speak to a HopeWest social worker who can help connect you to other community organizations that provide helpful services. Aging and Disability Resources for Colorado (ADRC) will be available twice a week. Appointments are recommended, call 970-248-4444 to schedule a meeting.

- Medicare and Medicaid insurance questions
- Information about housing and residential care facilities
- Members with urgent needs can meet with a Social Workers.
Home Safety Assessment
The CLUB provides a free home safety assessment once per year. Our specially-trained CNA will inspect your home and share information to increase your home safety. These home adaptations will make it safer to remain in your home as you age, prevent falls and if needed, provide you with a referral to Aging and Disability Resources for Colorado to access other community resources.
CLUB members will receive five guest passes per year to share with friends or family. Members may bring an adult guest to enjoy services. Additional guest passes are available for $25 and will be billed to the member’s account. To use one of your guest passes, please check-in at the front desk.
